I have a Poken, which is great, but needed those cards for bloggers who don’t have a Poken.

Michelle is having another giveaway for Uprinting and it’s SO worth signing up for. Even though I didn’t get to go to BlogHer, I’m planning on going to Blissdom and those cards will come in handy.

Uprinting was SUPER easy to work with and very personal. And no, they’re not paying me or giving me anything to say so. This is just a good, old fashion recommendation. (Remember those?)

It’s really mine! I bought it and everything! I’ve been wanting this for a real long time and am loving all the options I have now.

As I said on my old blog…

“…thank you so much to Amber for using my site as a gunea pig for her article in Sparkplugging.com Because of her my site was able to get up and running A LOT sooner than if I would’ve done it myself. Of course I wouldn’t have even known about the article if it hadn’t been for Twitter. Most of you know what a Twitter freak I am. It has opened up so many opportunities which is what it’s truly meant for.”

I love the idea that I can change my theme easily and there are so many themes. It’s been a blast playing with my site and can’t wait to get back on this ol’ wagon of blogging.

Come back soon and please leave a comment. I’m anxious to meet more people who blog!

Kid Rock can sing!

I’m not sure what happened to the guy, but he’s putting some great songs lately. Song that you can understand the lyrics and songs that you can hear actual musical notes. He’s really good.

My favorite is his rendition of All Summer Long. He’s puts about 3 different songs and weaves them together and it’s a GREAT “take me back” summer song. I was going to put his music video on here, but I’m not sure he’s changed THAT much.

I heard he’s going country. Not sure what that means, but if it involves singing songs like I’ve been hearing, well then.…YEEHAW!!!

Then again, maybe I’m just getting old.

SAY IT ISN’T SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was up late last night trying to move a client to another server.…all for nothing. Had some big hiccups in her shopping cart and, dang it!…no customer service at 11pm! Humph. So I’m on my 2nd cup of coffee (I know, I know. I quit that stuff. But I’m so tired ::whining::) and realized that I need to do a quick update.

So for those of you on the edge of your seat wondering the conclusion of Gremlin’s peep-show incident — J never spoke to the teacher. That morning Gremlin told Oldman he had a secret he wanted to tell him, took him in the bedroom and told him the story. I was listening in so I was floored when Oldman asked Gremlin if he got in trouble and Gremlin said, “Yeah, we both got time out and was told that was unacceptable behavior”. I quickly called J and told him that the teacher already knew. They weren’t the best at telling us things that happened in the classroom/playground. We won’t be going back there mainly because Oldman is too old now and I won’t put them in 2 separate locations during the summer. That boy had already quit summer school as well. Gremlin still prays for his ex-friend, “L, the jerk”.

Oldman is doing better in school. He told me this morning that he’s bored already, but that’s just because the first week is always spent talking about what’s expected from the teacher and get-to-know-you stuff. He said, “We’re all too scared to tell the teacher that we’ve been together since kindergarten…we know enough about each other!” Hee, hee. He still has problems on the recess because all the boys want to play soccer and he’s just not fond of that. I told him that he needs to come up with a different solution. So, he’s going to check to see if he can bring a football for 2-hand touch football, or a Frisbee for Frisbee golf.

Gremlin brought home a ‘nasty-gram’ from his teacher on the 2nd day! I guess I’m not surprised. He kept yelling through the bathroom door at kids, asking them if they needed help wiping. I just shook my head in awe. That boy is his father’s son.

And finally. I got a new ‘do. And it’s drastic!

Got all my hair cut off. Went to dark brown with red chunks in it! Just to give you an idea, when Oldman saw me he said, “I’m not really into the punk-rock look, but if you like it, that’s okay.” HA!

As soon as I get a chance, I’ll post a pic.

Happy Friday ya’ll!

A couple of weekends ago, Aunt Bea and I drove down to Branson for some Back to School shopping. We thought, “Tax-free weekend isn’t crazy enough so let’s take it to Branson where all the Arkansas-ians drive up to take advantage of it too!”

It was nuts and it was hot!

In the middle of our day, Aunt Bea throws me for a loop. I saw a side to her I did not know. The girl likes bling. And I don’t mean just any kind of bling. She goes big!

She takes me to this store call Dressin’ Gaudy. I guess they have some of these stores in Texas too. Makes sense. I swear I had an acid trip just walking in the door! I’ve never seen so many swirls of color and sparkle in one room. You couldn’t tell where one shirt ended and another started.

And the sparkle! Good grief to granny…the sparkle!

Every single item of clothing, visor (yes, visor!), purse or boot had either sprakles or gems on it. A lot of the jewelry was huge and…well, gaudy!

They actually had some cute jackets, but the headache I got from the shine prevented me from perusing any further. I guess it didn’t bother all the rich, old ladies, cause they were packed in spending the dough. I think I counted 7 ladies with leopard skin fanny packs. Now that’s some gaudy fannies!

In all fairness to the shop. The prices were incredibly low, and like I said, most of the jackets were really cute. I ended up buying something super cute for my mum for her birthday in October. Since she’s as far away from the gaudy scale as can be.…this should be interesting.
