Day 1 – Social Media {Personalized}

Even if you aren’t a Christian, most people can respect the scripture Philipians 4:8:

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

So you respect it and you might even have it up on your bathroom mirror to start your day out right, but in reality…IT’S HARD! You’re going 90-to nothin’ 24/7, the kids are driving you crazy, your spouse wants your constant attention, you’re behind at work, you’re hearing nothing but negative reports on the news, you pop on Twitter and everyone is banging on some lady who was tweeting instead of “watching her 3-year-old’s every waking movement” and something horrible happened to her baby, etc, etc, etc. Yet, you’re supposed to find the bright side and think on it so you can ooze it right back out to everyone else.

Hey, SuperHero! Take off the cape and relax a minute. You’re human. So, you can’t do it…you can’t just spout out lovely words all day long. Me neither. But what I can do is turn around, turn it off, and walk away. It’s a start.

If you can’t find anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.

Too simple? Maybe, but it’s January 1st and you’re up to your eyeballs in goals and failures. Just walk away…
