31 days of Social Media
Welcome to 31 days of Social Media. Geez, that sounds like a a very boring 101 class. Let’s try that again.
Ahem…
Ok everyone, including the Geico cavemen, knows about social media, but are we doing it right? Are we doing it wrong? Who cares? Ha, well, if you’ve ever encountered a catty person online then you have an opinion about it.
Social media is any type of medium used to socialize. That doesn’t necessarily mean considerate socialization with manners. A few months ago 20/20 did a story on bullying. The specialist they were interviewing said something basic and bottom-lined, yet very profound, “Kids aren’t being taught how to be kind any more.” There is no compassion or just good will. If adults lead by example then you can see what we’re teaching the next generation.
Please don’t get me wrong. There are some great families trying to teach their kids the right morals and are doing a fabulous job. It’s just unfortunate that there are more that aren’t teaching or leading properly. We, as adults, need to remember OUR manners and remember to respect others without feeling over Beaver Clever-ish.
So for the next 31 days I’m going to touch on the various aspects of using Social Media in a way that encourages and influences others. I hope you’ll join me every day and also add your thoughts in the comments.

This is a part of 31 Days of Ministry Online with A Woman Inspired. There are several great bloggers who are sharing their passion through the month of January. Please be sure to check them out as well!

I look forward to the next 31 days and being encouraged through all the blogs participating (I’m from A Martha Heart). But what really got me was the name of your blog, because my husband just met the guy that wrote that song. Too funny!
LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Can’t wait!
Thanks for your support on this, Dedra! {HUGS}
