My Kind of Chest of Drawers

I can’t stand the price of Chest of Drawers. And if you get the cheaper ones, they’re made with plywood and plastic. Also, I’m a sucker for things that are multi-functional. So when I saw that Target had these cubby drawers on sale, I jumped on it. The boys use it for all clothing except their jeans. The drawers slide in and out easy enough and they actually say it’s faster to put their clothes away. YES!

When they get too be too old or too big for it, I can put it in the office and use it to organize my crafts, office supplies, etc.

Girl, don’t you know it?!?! I LOVE Target storage options! Low investment, no tears if it’s damaged, and much more kid-friendly than a fancy piece of furniture!! :) And with all the color options, you can really make it CUTE!! We have the light green one in our girl’s room with pink, purple, and turquoise bins in it!! Love!

I keep bins from Ikea on the floor in the hall closet and the laundry room. The kids just sort the laundry into bins. Love it. Nothing is ever folded, of course, but it’s on their level where they can dig to their heart’s delight for their favorite shirt. Of course, that one is usually on top. :-)

Perfect! And the drawers are just the right size. Way to go!

  5. So cute! I am in need of a new dresser for my almost 11 year old, somehow I think he would roll his eyes at this idea.

(btw, I now have you in my reader.…which I thought I had done after Blissdom.…so I’ll be around more)

That’s awesome! I would love to have something like that in my office so I could actually keep my craft stuff upstairs… which would mean I’d actually be able to do some of my crafts. Right now, everything is in the basement, so I never get to do any crafts.

  8. What a creative idea!! It is funny that you mention the high price of a chest of drawers because I just bought one for the new baby. I couldn’t believe that one little thing costs over $250! YIKES!! Sorry I haven’t written too much lately, but I have really been enjoying your posts!

This post came just in time. I have those cubbies and organizer from Target. I have been debating over how to organize the children’s clothing better in our new home. I also debated on not using these cubbies for toys anymore. Perfect solution. :)
