It’s more than a pretty face

It’s like a lot of Botox injections without all the pain…and scary cat face.

My eyes are bleeding and I’m still tweaking a few, behind the scenes things but all in all…I like her. My blog…she’s so beautiful. *squee*

For the record, I L.O.V.E. Thesis! It was so much fun to work with. I have a coders background but it’s been quite a few years.  Learning CSS and hooks was actually fun and challenging. For the past 4 days I’ve gotten up anywhere between 4:30-5:00 in the morning because my brain kept having ah-ha moments on something I was either stuck on or with a better idea. There were a couple of places that my eyes kept crossing and Lisa was OH SO KIND to point me in the right direction.

Now to the most important part. My passion for this blog. I believe so strongly in online and in real life connections/communities. It can forge relationships for a lifetime. I’m still very, very close to one of my first blogging friends and she doesn’t even blog anymore.  Communities also promotes support and encouragement. When you get a group of people together they can build a foundation of trust for each member that acts as a stabilizing force for everyone involved. I want 867-5309 to be part of something much bigger than just ‘another blog’. I want it to be part of the foundation for a strong community.

I want it to be fun. So many of us get caught up in life and forget how to laugh. We forget to find humor in the little things. I want 867-5309 to be a place where you go for a good time. Let’s remember what it’s like to have fun and enjoy the life we have around us. Whether it’s the kids who keep wiping their booger’s under our couches or the spouse who couldn’t find the dirty clothes hamper if we stuck them in it.

I’m so excited for the new focus that this blog is taking and I hope you’ll join me each step of the way. Even if you’re a lurker…I get it. I lurk sites every day. It’s all good!

I’ve added a few extra pages in the Navigation bar. Be sure to check them out – even the boring looking ones. One of them talks about giving people wedgies if they do something I don’t like. And on another page I tie in my contact information with my brother sticking his foot into another kids mouth.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on the changes…and since I’m PMSing this week, it can only be good thoughts.
