My kind of Winter
Yesterday was a perfect day. Yet a bit Twilight-Zoney too.
OnĀ November 21st, 2009:
~I mowed the yard.
~The boys ran around the neighborhood in t-shirts and barefeet.
~The bees were being chanced by the dogs.
~Birds were pooping berry-stained poop…everywhere.
It was a perfect Summer/Fall day. The only thing that didn’t fit the picture was the lack of lush, green leaves on the trees and flowers around the house.
Oh and the Christmas boxes opened in the garage and the Christmas parade we went to later in the evening.
This is not typical for Missouri. Don’t get me wrong…we haveĀ a history of needing coat/scarf/gloves in the morning and flip-flops by afternoon, but yesterday…that was not typical.
And I loved every minute of it.
