Tit for tat!

Warning: the word tit can be vulgar to some in the US…but that’s not really the case in other countries. Please keep this in mind as you read this post. I do NOT want to offend anyone, but wanted to post this to show some creative ways people have helped those with breast cancer. With that being said.….

I’ve got to share with you one of the coolest breast cancer appendage sites I’ve ever seen!

Lately I’ve shared some wacko sites: Silicone dog nardies and Toe shoes.

But this one is really fun and a great idea! I go through a TON of websites a day but I only really skim the text. This site had me reading every single page and wanting more!

It’s out of Canada…my SIL told me about it:

Welcome to TitBits!

My SIL was listening to a radio program called Definitely not the Opera, and they had an interview with a lady who had a breast removed from cancer and now she knits prosthetic breasts. She was too funny.

SIL said she loved the story about the grandmother having TSA issues while going through the metal detector at the airport. She said, “No worries, it’s just my nipple ring, I’ll take it out.”

No, Ma’am, stop, we have a room for that!”

Then she pops out her black knitted ‘Tit Bit’ with nipple ring into the little tray and walks on through!

You really should check out her site (note that she’s creative enough to have everyday tits, fancy tits and even floozie tits!) and definitely check out how she says you should wear them.

She is one that definitely did something with the lemons she got and is inspiring so many others!

Congrats, Bayl!!!

I saw this a couple weeks ago and I think they’re amazing. My mom is a BC survivor and had a friend knit her one of these. She hasn’t tried it out yet (still has to stuff it to match her real one), but I work in a shop at a hospital and our sister store sells the silicone prostheses. Those things are heavy and we are constantly having women complain of them being uncomfortable, hot, and causing back pain. Who woulda thunk the answer was an inexpensive (when I say inexpensive–remember the silicone ones are upwards of $300) knitted titbit? I can’t believe how creative some people are!
